Ling received her Juris Doctor degree from South Texas College of Law in 2010, and the same year she was admitted to practice law in the State of Texas.
While in law school, Ling clerked with a full service business law firm. Ling also clerked with both state appellate justice and trial court judges during law school and pre-licensure. During her clerkship with the judiciary, Ling gained extensive experience in both trial and appellate advocacy. Ling was the recipient of the tenth best brief award from South Texas College of Law in the Moot Court Competition tryout in 2008, and she was also on the dean's honor list.
